Miss MoneyPenny uses couponmom.com to look up coupons to match the sales. There was not one coupon for any of the items that I have listed this week from the QFC ad. What is with that? And why don't they want to play nice?
Usually when I look through the coupon inserts on Sundays, I will cut the good ones out that I know that I am going to use. Lately there just hasn't been any real good ones. I can't tell you how offended I was to see that the Tide coupon was for .25!! They are always for $1.00 and Tide ain't getting any cheaper. What gives?
Anyway, here is what I'm looking at from the QFC ad this week:
Palmolive Dish Soap - $1/10oz
Heinz Ketchup - $2/32-40oz
Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce - $1/18oz
Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt - $1/5.3oz
QFC Eggs - $1.77/18ct
Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream - $1/3.6oz
Hot House English Cukes - $1/ea
Red, Orange or Yellow Peppers - $1/ea
Tomatoes on the Vine- .99/lb
Organic Zucchini - $1/lb
Geraniums - $2.50/ea 4 inch pot (my place is still too cold)
I keep forgetting to give you the guy from Seattle's recipe for his killer fish dish, so here it is:
White fish fillets
Lemon
Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
Grated Parmesan Cheese - 1/4 cup
Green Onions - 2
Pepper
Sprinkle lemon over fish and put under the broiler until almost done. Mix mayonnaise, cheese, green onions and pepper. You can adjust the ingredients to suit, it is always delish. Spread topping on fish and finishing cooking until done and top is browned and bubbly. This might be too rich for salmon but is fabulous on halibut, sole and rockfish. Pass the lemons.
